This course is designed to help individuals understand the benefits of using the WDMA architectural door standards to enhance their projects. Attendees will be learning about the changes made in both the 2021 ANSI/WDMA I.S1A Architectural Flush Door standard and the ANSI/WDMA I.S. 6A Architectural Stile and Rail Door Standard have changed and how these changes can help architects, designers, and specifiers deliver work of the highest caliber and accurately specify the desired end product. Many of these changes were incorporated to harmonize the discrepancies noted in the market place, specifically when specifiers or architects write specifications mixing requirements from the WDMA architectural wood door standards with other industry recognized woodwork and millwork standards.

Prerequisite Knowledge:
This webinar builds upon the attendee's previous working knowledge of the ANSI/WDMA I.S1A Architectural Flush Door standard and the ANSI/WDMA I.S. 6A Architectural Stile and Rail Door Standard.

Learning Objectives:

• Attendees will be able to identify interior architectural wood door performance levels, based on where they will be located within the facility, and then define the distinct performance levels or grades for these doors that are crucial in their overall specification.
• Attendees will learn to describe the difference between the various architectural wood flush door standards and architectural stile and rail door standards in the marketplace and why you should use the newest performance based design standards.
• Attendees will learn how to use the WDMA specification checklist to clearly articulate the desired aesthetics and performance attributes of the interior architectural wood door.
• Attendees will learn the importance of jobsite preparations before taking delivery of the interior wood door products to prevent damage to the products.
